In February, the “important” animal of the month was the groundhog; I grew up knowing the groundhog as a troublemaker that caused many problems for my dad in his fields. Living in the north in the cold winter makes me view the groundhog as a perpetual troublemaker each February; it really doesn’t matter whether or not he sees his shadow, he somehow has managed a way for it to be very cold, for a very long time, in our little spot in the world. But February is now over and we can enjoy March!
Most of us know of the question, “Will March come in like a lion and leave like a lamb, or will it be the other way around?” I’m going to set the lion and the lamb to the side this month and it will be the month of the rabbit! According to the Chinese calendar, 2011 is the year of the Rabbit, so I think this March will be a “double luck month”! Look out, the rabbit will multiply this month, at least on my drawing table
Here is a fun site if you want to see photos of some very large rabbits!
